Forging Shop
A fully equipped metallurgical laboratory with a spectrometer for ferrous metals, muffle furnace, test piece sample preparation machines and jominy testing fixture for checking the jominy value of the steel samples, a microscope with image analyser software, a BHN & Rockwell hardness tester completes the set up. A magnaflux crack detection (MPI) machine for checking the forgings.
Machine Shop
- The machine shop has complete facility for turned blanks, gear cutting & heat treatment of gears – spur, helical and bevel gears.
- Gear hobbing, shaping & shaving machines.
- CNC cylindrical grinding.
- Voumard bore grinding machines.
- Heat treatment shop with pit type gas carburising, quenching and tempering furnaces.
- The area is serviced by EOT crane.
